Safety & Community Guidelines

Creating a safe space where everyone can vibe

Our Commitment to Safety

At Muse, we believe everyone deserves to connect over music in a safe, respectful environment. These guidelines help us maintain a community where all music lovers can feel welcome, regardless of their background, identity, or music taste.

Community Standards

Be Authentic

Use real photos and be honest about your music taste. Authenticity leads to better connections. Don't pretend to like genres or artists you don't – there's someone out there who shares your exact vibe.

🤝

Respect Everyone

Treat others how you'd want to be treated. No hate speech, discrimination, or harassment based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.

🎵

No Music Shaming

Everyone's music taste is valid. Don't mock or belittle others for their preferences. From pop to death metal, from K-pop to country – all music has value to someone.

🔒

Keep It Appropriate

No explicit content, nudity, or sexually suggestive material. Keep conversations respectful. This includes profile photos, chat messages, and any content you share.

🛡️

Protect Privacy

Don't share others' personal information without consent. This includes phone numbers, addresses, social media handles, or any identifying information.

Meeting IRL Safely

Taking online connections offline is exciting! Here's how to do it safely:

Meet in public places first (concerts, cafes, festivals)

Tell a friend where you're going

Video chat before meeting in person

Trust your instincts

Arrange your own transport

Keep your phone charged

Stay sober and alert

Have an exit plan

Zero Tolerance

These behaviors will result in immediate account termination:

  • Violence or threats of violence
  • Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual content
  • Hate speech or discrimination
  • Stalking or doxxing
  • Impersonation or catfishing
  • Promoting illegal activities
